Event cancellation

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel an event that required upfront payment, we will refund that payment in full.

Liability

Sydney Young Professionals Pty Ltd our affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees do not accept liability for any damage to you and/or your property arising as a result of attending one of our events. 

You agree to indemnify and hold Sydney Young Professionals Pty Ltd our affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees, harmless from and against any claims, demands, proceedings, losses and damages (actual, special and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, regardless of fault.

Event payment

For events that require upfront payment we offer a full refund in the event you are unable to attend provided you contact us at least seven days prior to that event.  We will endeavour to refund advance payments in the event you cannot attend an event up to 72 hours before the start of that event, however this is not guaranteed, and we reserve our right not to issue such refunds.  

You may transfer your ticket to another person provided you email us at syp.events@syp.com.au at least 24 hours before the start time of that event (include the name, company and email address of both the person transferring the ticket and the person receiving the ticket in the email). 

Event location

We reserve the right to change the venue of an event to that of a similar venue within a two kilometre radius of the original location. If you or one of your guests that you have purchased a ticket for cause any damage to a venue that is hosting a Sydney Young Professionals event, which results in claim being made against Sydney Young Professionals by that venue, you agree to cover the full cost of such a claim.

Event images

Sydney Young Professionals may take photographs and/or video footage at our events. We reserve the right to use such photographs and video footage for promotional purposes. If you are attending an event and do not wish to be included in any photographs and/or video footage please email us in advance of that event at

No other person is authorised to take any photographs or video footage at a Sydney Young Professionals event without prior written authorisation from Sydney Young Professionals. In addition, no marketing or promotional materials may be distributed a Sydney Young Professionals event without prior written authorisation.  We reserve the right to ask you to leave an event and refuse entry to future events if you violate these terms.
